THE BEGINNING
Stefano Pileggi grew up in Italy in a third-generation retail family, surrounded by an appreciation for craftsmanship, design and personal service.
After moving to New York in 2011, a lifelong fascination with extraordinary objects evolved into a deep passion for rare whisky. Over the years, collecting led to relationships with fellow collectors, historic importers and people throughout the world of fine wine and spirits.
What began as a personal pursuit gradually became a point of view: that exceptional bottles deserve to be discovered, understood and presented differently.
FROM COLLECTOR TO COLLEZIONE
After years of collecting and sourcing privately, Stefano imagined the kind of destination he had always wanted to find himself — a place where extraordinary bottles could be experienced with the same attention given to art, design and craftsmanship.
In 2023, that vision became Collezione New York on Madison Avenue.
Part atelier, part archive and part gathering place, Collezione brings together rare whisky, fine wine, vintage spirits and Italian hospitality in a setting created around discovery and conversation.

The Connoisseur’s Room is the most personal expression of what Collezione was created to be — a place where extraordinary bottles become part of a conversation.
