This is a special edition of Chartreuse liqueur created by the Carthusian monks to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the founding of their Order in 1084 by Saint Bruno. It was first produced in 1984. It's a blend liqueur, harmonizing 130 herbs in a symphony of flavor. It is often described as similar to Green Chartreuse but slightly sweeter and softer. It balances the intensity of Green Chartreuse with the mellow sweetness of Yellow Chartreuse.
