The Marnier-Lapostolle Cherry Marnier liqueur was a cherry brandy with a rich history, produced by the same company as Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge. The 24% ABV version of this liqueur was produced starting in 1983.
The liqueur was made exclusively from Morello cherries sourced from Turkey, which were crushed and macerated in neutral alcohol. The crushed stones and pulp were distilled to produce an aromatic marc, which was then blended with the cherry maceration and sugar syrup.
